Clinton Hylton Obituary, Death –  A. Clinton, Mr. On March 29, 2024, in Laurel Fork, Virginia, Donald “Don” Hylton, who was 87 years old and lived in Meadows of Dan, Virginia, passed away. On July 10, 1936, he was born in Floyd County to the late Quince Adams Hylton and Emma Susan Higgs Hylton. Both of his parents have since passed away.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Loveda Helms Hylton; two brothers, Everett Lee Hylton and Kenneith Arbie Hylton; and three sisters, Mamie Pearl Hylton, Retta Geraldine H. Carroll, and Opal Virginia H. Worrell. He was also predeceased by his parents. One of Don’s favorite things to do was to serve his country in the military.

In addition, he worked at Primland Resort for a considerable amount of time in order to advance his career. Bluegrass music brought Don a great deal of delight, and he also found that spending time with others who shared his enthusiasm for the genre brought him even more joy. The majority of his spare time was spent going to Blue Grass activities that were held in the neighborhood.

Don was a very outgoing and gregarious person, and he never encountered a stranger in his life. Many people were drawn to him because of his hilarious sense of humor and his playful taunting. Those who were fortunate enough to have known and loved him will carry his memories with them forever. His absence will be keenly felt by everyone who had the opportunity to spend time in his company.

The only people who are left to honor the memory of Don Hylton are his two daughters, Crista Walker (Mark) of Stuart and Susan Hylton of Martinsville; his sister, Nadine Quesenberry, of Vesta, Virginia; his brother-in-law, Lois Belcher and his wife, Dorothy, of Meadows of Dan; his nephew, Steve Helms and his wife, Angie, of Meadows of Dan; a large number of nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends from all over the country.

On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at eleven o’clock in the morning, a funeral service for Mr. Hylton will be place at Conners View Primitive Baptist Church. Charles Hubbard will preside over the ceremony. Following the funeral, the burial will take place at the church cemetery. The family will host a reception for friends at the church on Tuesday morning, one hour before the ceremonies are scheduled to begin.

Rather than sending flowers, donations can be made to the Residents Aid Fund at Heritage Hall-Laurel Meadows. This fund provides financial support for events that residents of Heritage Hall-Laurel Meadows take part in, which Don was a huge fan of and participated in on multiple occasions.
