Thelma Bowling Obituary, Death –  Thelma L. Bowling, who resided in Scottsburg, Indiana and was 82 years old at the time of her death, passed away at The Waters of Scottsburg, which is situated in Scottsburg, Indiana, on the 31st of March, 2024. Her birth took place on February 3, 1942 in Cox Creek, Kentucky, although both of her parents, Jesse Lee Bogard and Margaret Ellen (Snawder) Bogard, had already passed away prior to her arrival. The father who had passed away had a daughter named her.

The date of their wedding was October 25, 1973, and Denver Kenneth Bowling is still alive today. She tied the knot with him. Denver and Thelma were both long-time members of the local Republican Party. In addition to being members of the Lexington Presbyterian Church and individuals who worked for Cummins Engine Company, they were also members of the Republican Party.

The Cummins Engine Company was another organization that she was a part of. Thelma’s favorite things to do included traveling, listening to Elvis Presley, cooking, caring to a vegetable garden, and canning. She also enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley. They were involved in the training of horses and had a few horses compete at Churchill Downs. In addition to being ski aficionados, they were also horse trainers.

The Graceland, which is located in Memphis, Tennessee, was another destination that they visited on several occasions. All of her family members, including her parents and her three brothers, Lawrence Bogard, Marvin Bogard, and David Bogard, had already passed away prior to her passing.

She is survived by her husband, Denver Kenneth Bowling; one son, Robert David Bowling, who is married to Amanda and lives in Lexington, Indiana; one stepdaughter, Yolanda Brady, who lives in Scottsburg, Indiana; four sisters, Margo McCandless, who is married to Tom, and Rachel Rutherford, who is married to Harold, both of Scottsburg, Indiana; Wanda, who lives in Las Vegas, Nevada; Theresa Rice, who is married to Ronnie, who lives in Texas; four grandchildren named Sophia Bowling, Rylan Bowling, Tasha Campbell, and Tyler Brady; and a number of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

The Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana will be the location of the funeral services that will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. respectively.
