Karen Berry Obituary, Death –  At the Legacy of Franklin Nursing Center on Thursday, March 28, 2024, Karen Williams Berry, who had reached the age of 82, passed away without any problems. Among the three children who were born to the coupling of A.E. and Wanda Williams, Karen was the oldest of the three. Her teaching career spanned a significant amount of time in St. Mary Parish, notably in the third grade at Bayou Vista Elementary and the fourth grade at Patterson Junior High.

In 1996, she took her retirement from the teaching profession. During her tenure at Bayou Vista Baptist Church, Karen was a dedicated member who also had a passion for reading. Her four children, Mark Berry and his wife Dana, Michael Berry and his wife Rachel, Michelle B. Landry and her husband John T. Landry, and Matthew Berry, as well as her twenty grandchildren, Christopher Carter Berry and his wife Leah, Caleb Mark Berry and his wife Emily, Corey Michael Berry and his wife Caroline, Clay Michael Berry and his wife Casey, Courtney Magen Berry, Carter Michael Berry and his wife Haley, Catherine Micole Lanclos and her husband Jordan, and Matthew Berry, are among those she leaves behind to cherish her memory.

In addition to his wife Kelsey, Cole Michael Berry Joshua-Caleb Michael Berry and wife Emily, Justin Paige Blanc, Kevin Mark Berry and wife Anna, Kristin Elaine Landry, Jackson Irvin Landry and wife Julia, Hunter James Landry, Fabien John Blanc and wife Tyffani, Craig Phillip Blanc and wife Ricca, Daniel Ryan Blanc and wife Rhonda, Isaiah Thomas Berry, Isabelle Rose Berry, and Gabriel Ryan Berry;

28 great grandchildren; Lailah, Chance (Tupper), Ryann, Camilla, Gunner, Ryker, Everett, Tucker, Olivia, Pavali, Leilana, Isabella, Elijah, Bethany, Brielle, Sawyer, Eden, Vivian, Joseph, Amberle, Adalya, Craig, Evalyn, Angela, Dilon, Logan, Jaden, and Kalyn; one brother, Dennis Williams; one sister, Jan Brannon; one brother-in-law, Robert Berry and wife Shielda; one sister-in-law, Dora B. Daniels and husband James; as well as a host of nieces.

Ralph Carter (R.C.) Berry, her husband; her parents, A.E. Williams and Wanda Ruth Shepherd Williams; her in-laws, H.O. Berry and Loraine Davis Berry; her brother-in-law, Arlie Brannon; and her sister-in-law, Cissy Williams, are among the individuals who have passed away before her.

With Reverend Steven Kelly serving as the officiant, funeral services are scheduled to take place at Bayou Vista Baptist Church on Monday, April 1, 2024, at eleven o’clock in the morning. The gathering of family and friends will start at nine o’clock in the morning.

After the funeral services, she will be laid to rest in the cemetery that is located within Ibert’s Memorial Park. Her grandchildren will be serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers at the funeral service. An alternative to sending flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Bayou Vista Baptist Church, which may be found at 411 Field Street, Morgan City, Louisiana 70380.
