Catherine Bedini Obituary, Honoring The Life Of Catherine Bedini

Catherine Bedini Obituary, Death –  On March 28, 2024, Catherine (Trimarchi) Bedini, who had previously resided in Derby, passed away in a calm and serene manner. It was on January 20, 1931 that she was born in Derby. Her parents, Vincenzo and Antoinette Trimarchi, both passed away before she was born. Catherine has been reunited with her husband of 63 years, Lou, who undoubtedly greeted her as she arrived at the doorway of heaven.

She lived for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren from the moment Lou left us until the moment they rejoined, but she never stopped hoping that the day would come when they would be “Together Forever.” They are missed beyond what can be expressed in words, but their legacy, traditions, and lessons learned in life will live on in the hearts and minds of those who come after them for many generations to come.

Catherine was a person who quietly led her family, providing them with guidance and insight in a manner that was not overt. During the past few years, she has been a conscientious person who has made certain that everyone who was significant in her life has received something that will serve as a reminder of her. She enjoyed dancing with her husband, listening to music from big bands, and having family dinners prepared in the Italian manner using recipes that had been passed down through the years.

In addition to her children, Louis Bedini Jr. (and his wife Denise), Ken Bedini (and his wife Beverly), and Donna Lyons, Catherine is survived by her grandchildren Louis Bedini (and his wife Genevieve), Lauren Slater (and her husband Rob), Robert Bedini (and his wife Sarah), Kyle Bedini (and his wife Marissa), and Daniel Lyons (and his wife Margaret), as well as her great-grandchildren Lilyana, Emma Catherine, Maya, Parker, Eli, Taylor, and Sydney Kay. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson Kolby, her brothers Joseph Trimarchi, Charles Trimarchi, Anthony Trimarchi, Michael Trimarchi, and Dominick Trimarchi, as well as her sisters Marie Trimarchi, Rose Affie, Mary DiMauro, and Rachael Bedini.

It was very important to Catherine that she maintains a special bond with her two sisters-in-law. Over the course of many years, Betty Sorcinelli, who has since passed away, and Angie Trimarchi, who were like sisters and best friends, were close. We would like to express our gratitude to the personnel at Gardner Heights for providing Catherine with compassionate care when she was a resident there, as well as to the staff at Hartford Healthcare Hospice for assisting Catherine in maintaining her dignity during her final days.

On Tuesday, April 2nd, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, friends and family are invited to pay their respects to the family at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, which is located at 253 Elizabeth Street in Derby. This will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church in Derby at 11:00 AM as the funeral service concludes.

Interment will take place at Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby after the funeral. Rather than sending flowers, the family suggests that donations be sent to either Taylor’s Troopers, located at 104 Longview Drive, Manchester, Connecticut 06040, or The Celebration of the Eucharist, which is located at the Office of Radio and Television of the Archdiocese of Hartford, located at 15 Peach Orchard Road, Prospect, Connecticut 06712-1052.
