Betty Long Obituary, A Cherished Resident Of Churchville Has Unexpectedly Passed Away

Betty Long Obituary, Death –  At the time of her departure on Thursday, March 28, 2024, Betty Kay Long, who had been a resident of Churchville and had reached the age of 73, was at her residence. She had reached the age of 73. In the year 1950, on July 23rd, Ms. Long was born in the town of Mt. Solon, which is located in the state of Virginia.

She is the daughter of Quinton Long, who passed away, and Charlene (Howdyshell) Long, who also passed away later. These two individuals were her parents. They were her parents, and they were also her siblings.
There was no denying the fact that Betty was a country girl at heart, despite the fact that she had worked as a supervisor at Perdue for a substantial amount of time. An experience that brought her a great deal of joy was her journey to Tennessee, during which she had the chance to be of assistance to other individuals.

Surviving, are her adopted children, Kelly Michele Thompson and Brian Wayne Thompson; four sisters, Louise Grady (Bill), Linda Long, Phyllis Nelson (Keith), and Bonnie Loan; grandchildren, Dylynn Lee Thompson and Lauren Grace Carter; nieces and nephews, Lenford Grady (Karen), Wilamena Harback (Dave), Phillip Nelson (Rick), Kevin Nelson (Dianne), Holly Guthrie (Michael), and Quinton Long, II; numerous great-nieces and great- nephews; and “her” dog, “El-Lee”.

The Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory will be the location of a visitation that will take place on Monday, April 1, 2024, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and continuing until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will take held at the site that has been designated.

At eleven o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, Pastor Greg Culpen will preside over a funeral service that will be held at the Emmanuel Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The service will be held in memory of the deceased. An event will be held in memory of the person who has passed away.

In addition to the deceased, it is planned that the following individuals will serve as active pallbearers: Quinton Long, Lenford Grady, Kevin Nelson, Phillip Nelson, Michael Guthrie, and Preston Woods.
