Janet Vail Obituary, Death Cause –  At her home on March 27, 2024, Janet Eileen Vail, who had been battling cancer for 78 years and was a resident of Erie, Illinois, passed away after a courageous fight against the disease. For the past eight years, she had been fighting against the sickness.

In the year 1945, on June 15th, Janet Schaeffer was born in the city of Moline, which is located in the state of Illinois. Marian (Miller) Schaeffer and Ira Schaeffer were overjoyed to be the parents of their daughters. After first settling in Dundee, Illinois, the couple eventually made their way back to Erie in order to fulfill their obligation to raise their children. Despite the fact that Janet’s major responsibility was to care for her family at home, she still enjoyed driving a school van for the Erie School District with great enthusiasm. In addition to being a devoted member of the Erie Christian Church for her entire life, Janet had a very strong bond with her grandchildren, who looked up to her as a type of person to emulate.
